Terms of use – FSI Doc Manager

In short: use the app fairly, your documents stay yours, check AI and scan results before you rely on them, and subscriptions are handled - and cancelled - in Google Play.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and FSI Technologies (Future Smart Innovations), Dhaka, Bangladesh (“we”, “us”), the maker of the FSI Doc Manager app (“the app”). By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Using the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal or business purposes, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. The app, its design, code and content belong to us or our licensors; open-source parts keep their own licences (listed in the app under Me → Open-source licenses).

3. Your content

Your documents, scans, invoices and other content are yours. They are stored on your device, and we do not claim any rights in them. You are responsible for the content you scan, edit, convert or share, and for having the right to use it. Please keep backups of important files - the app offers backup to your own Google Drive or to a .zip file.

4. AI features

Some optional features use artificial intelligence (Google's Gemini) to read, explain, translate, write or create content. AI results can be wrong, incomplete or unexpected: check important information such as names, dates, amounts and translations before you rely on it. Do not use AI features to create content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual, or that violates other people's rights. You can report a bad AI result inside the app. We may limit or change AI features, including the number of free AI pages, at any time.

5. Premium subscriptions

Premium is sold through Google Play as a monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). A free trial, when offered, turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before it ends. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policies. If we change the price, Google Play tells you in advance as its rules require. Premium is personal to the Google account that bought it.

6. Ads

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. In some regions you are asked for consent to personalised ads, and you can change your choice in the app's settings. Premium removes all ads.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it; get around Premium, the free limits, ads or security measures, or use modified or “cracked” versions of the app; use the app or its AI features to break any law or to harm, harass or deceive anyone; or try to overload, misuse or attack our services or those of our providers.

8. Services of others

The app uses services of Google (such as Google Play, ML Kit, Firebase, AdMob, Gemini and Google Drive). Your use of those services is also covered by Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

9. No guarantee

We work hard to make the app useful and reliable, but it is provided “as is”. Scanning, text recognition, translation, conversions and calculations (for example invoice totals, taxes or expense reports) may contain mistakes - please check them. The app does not give legal, tax or financial advice. Some features need Google Play services or an internet connection and may not work on every device.

10. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law as a consumer and that cannot be limited.

11. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it (cancel any subscription in Google Play separately). We may suspend or end your access to Premium or AI features if you seriously break these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes or the law requires it. We will change the date at the top of this page, and announce important changes in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction - unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your own courts or laws.
